This movie was entirely too boring for me and I don’t recommend it if you’re into action movies. I mean seriously, who wants to sit in a theater for 3 hours to watch some guy on the big screen perform a crazy stunt like riding a motorcycle off a cliff, parachuting down, and landing on a runaway train?

I apologize if you don’t speak sarcasm, but I truly have no words to describe the movie I just saw. Like any true fan of a franchise, I was nervous that the seventh movie would not be able to hold up to its predecessors. I mean how much bigger can the stunts get? How will Ethan Hunt go rogue this time? Will this mission be the one that is indeed impossible?

For fans that have been following since the release of the first Mission: Impossible, there are a handful of scenes that will bring back some memories from 1996. We are reintroduced to some old faces while establishing new ones. And while Hunt has faced off and defeated countless enemies before, nothing could prepare him for what he’s up against now.

This movie kept me second guessing and on the edge of my seat the entire time. The film threw so many curveballs that even the characters themselves began to question what was real and what wasn’t.

Overall the stunts were bigger, the foes were badder, and this movie definitely lived up to the hype. They’ve set themselves up very nicely for a part 2 and I already plan to be the first one in the theater when that comes out next year.

If you’re still reading at this point, that means you’re interested in seeing it. Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to go see it on the big screen and decide for yourself where this one stands in the Mission: Impossible saga. The choice is yours. This message will self-destruct in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1…
